Happy Christmas.
I hope wherever you are in the world or however you celebrate, you are safe and warm and with those that you love.
As the end of the year draws near, I’ve been reflecting on the past 12 months. At the beginning of the year I drew myself a new vision board with all the things I wanted for this year.
My word for the year was ELEVATE. I wanted to elevate all areas of my life and business by focusing on the things and people that would serve, fulfil me and move me forward.
I wanted to focus on strengthening my existing relationships with family, friends and the changing relationship with my kids as they get older.
To experience growth personally and professionally,
To meet new people in the business world and continue to evolve into the newer version of my niche, combining my corporate and consumer experience.
And I wanted to push out of my comfort zone by doing things I hadn’t done in a while (like launching!) and starting something new (like my podcast.)
And I did all those things. Which feels good and like I have made progress!
But life doesn’t always work how you want it to or how you planned it right?
This year I had some personal life challenges come my way that I hadn’t anticipated. It’s been the most challenging thing to experience and I haven’t known how to ‘solve’ it. But that has been a great learning in itself.
Sometimes there isn’t an immediate solution. That can feel uncomfortable, especially if it involves those we love most. But surrendering to not knowing how to solve something and being open to finding a way as it unfolds, and trusting that everything is happening just as it should is seeing me through.
Next year my word is COMMUNITY. I have realised that supporting and being supported by groups of people is crucial in this life. We really can’t do it alone! So I’ll be focusing on all the ways I can connect with, grow, and serve different communities in 2024.
One community I’m excited to be growing is my podcast. I’m looking forward to having conversations with listeners about the topics I’ll be addressing on the show.
