Last Friday I said ‘stuff it all I quit!’

I was at the end of my rope.

The funny thing was, I didn’t see it coming at all. It crept up on me like a sneaky black panther. At first I thought I had caught another one of my kiddies bugs.

Then there I was all of a sudden unable to cope with ANYTHING. Teary, anxious, exhausted and quite frankly a bit of a mess!

The same old feelings cropped up.

I wanted to hide away. I wanted to shrink out of the light. I wanted to sign up for a job with very little responsibility. I wanted some semblance of normality back in my life. I just wanted to walk away from it all.

But I’ve done that once before, and although it turned out to be the best thing I could have done (leaving my corporate job) this time I knew I couldn’t quit.

I must admit I was a tad nervous about sharing it.

You see, It’s never easy being vulnerable.

I was all of a tither.

What if people think I’m a complete loon? What if they stop following me because I can’t hold it together?

But honestly?

I couldn’t believe the reaction.

It turns out that a shed load of you feel the same as I did last week. That you struggle with the juggle too. That you get tired, frazzled, feel like quitting sometimes. And you also feel lonely.

It was reassuring to know that I’m not alone, and it made me feel like sharing it had been worthwhile. Because none of us are in this alone. And if we know we have each other we can take the highs and lows together, right?

If you didn’t catch it I’ve got the replay for you here.

If you are or ever have been close to quitting, or are just going through a bit of a tough time right now, please watch the vid, hit reply and let me know what you think.

You’ve totally got this and I’ve got you.

Much love
Helen x
