Last week I did a photoshoot in Brighton. I, maybe like you, am the face of my business so it’s always good to keep my brand fresh with up to date photos for my website and social media channels.
My business is mainly in speaker coaching, but with all the events cancelled this year I didn’t have any stage photos! So I wanted a shoot that represented where I am right now. I’ve experienced so much in life and business since the last shoot. We are all evolving at such a rate it’s good to take stock once in a while.
I gave a little preview of some of the shots, and amongst all the lovely comments and messages I got two that suggested my outfits weren’t appropriate.
Which leads me on to this…..
- There may be messages you want to share with the world that might polarise opinion.
- You might have a story that is hard to tell, but that people out there need to hear
- You might wear clothes that others don’t like
- You may look a certain way that some don’t care for.
And you know what?
That’s a GOOD thing
The most important thing to remember when running a business that you are the face of, is to be the most honest and truest version of yourself. To only speak your truth, to tell your story. To stand up for what you believe in, despite what others may think.
You do that?
The people that NEED to hear you will. The people that NEED to see you will. And those are the people that matter.
Don’t let anything or anyone stop you on your pursuit to make a difference in the world. Embrace yourself fully and wholeheartedly and get out there!
