So here we are in the final throws of 2022!
How has it been for you?
I know that this year has provided many challenges, not only from a global and economic perspective, but also emerging from the pandemic and thrusting ourselves back into normality with such force it has felt a little overwhelming at times.
At this time of year I take a few moments with a cup of tea and a slice of cake and reflect back on what I’ve achieved. I encourage my clients to do this frequently as us humans tend to hone in on what we haven’t done and skip over all the wins.
Can you relate?!
At the beginning of this year I started a new chapter of my life, moving into a new home with children. I have faced quite a few challenges but have really come to appreciate the freedom running my own business grants me to be able to support my kids and their endeavors, as well as doing work that fulfills and excites me. That flexibility is golden and I will never take it for granted!
This year I’ve really enjoyed growing the corporate side of my business, taking on new corporate clients in different industries and developing new leadership and communication programmes as well as continuing to work with some awesome long standing organisations.
After wrapping on my TEDx event in January, I have also loved working with private one to one clients and supporting them to craft and deliver signature and keynotes and TEDx talks.
One thing that I wasn’t expecting was my DJing hobby to become a source of income. I’ve done a fair few gigs this year which have been so much fun, two of which were paid! I’ve just upgraded my kit and am going to embark on learning how to produce music next year. Let’s see how I do with that (he he.)
Next year I’m looking forward to honouring my long serving corporate clients as well as embarking on some exciting new projects in the gaming industry. I’m going to continue working with existing one to one clients and have a set number of slots for new ones.
I’ll also be sharing how I can help people to land and deliver their dream speaking gigs in addition to my one to one work, so watch this space! And I’m looking forward to doing more DJ gigs and all the wonderful vibes they give me. I may even be able to get my book finished too!
Take a moment to reflect on what you’ve achieved this year. I bet it’s a tonne of stuff and you should be proud.
