There are some events that become part of the rhythm of your year.
For me, Brighton Summit is one of them.
Every October I’d make my way into the Brighton Dome knowing I was about to spend the day thinking differently. I’d move between inspiring keynote talks, practical workshops and conversations with people I’d never met before but somehow always left feeling connected to.
One year I even found myself exploring the secret tunnels beneath the Brighton Dome and the Royal Pavilion. If you’ve been before, you’ll know Brighton Summit always manages to surprise you.
It’s one of the reasons I’ve kept going back.
This year, though, I’m experiencing it from the other side!
I’m incredibly excited to be running one of this year’s workshops.
The theme for Brighton Summit 2026 is Think Differently, and I couldn’t imagine a better fit for the conversation I’ve been exploring over the past year.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly capable of generating content, something interesting is happening: Being polished isn’t enough anymore.
Everyone has access to polished and everyone can generate words.
What people can’t generate is a lifetime of experiences, turning points, failures, breakthroughs and lessons that make each of us uniquely human.
I believe that’s where our advantage now lies.
In telling better stories that explain why we care about what we do, that help people trust us and that make us memorable. Stories that build genuine human connection.
That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring in my workshop:
Crafting Your Business Origin Story

Together we’ll uncover the defining moments that shaped who you are and what you stand for, using a simple four-part framework that you can continue developing long after the session ends.
Whether you’re a leader, founder, consultant or business owner, your origin story can become one of the most versatile communication tools you have. It can shape the way you introduce yourself, speak on stage, network, write your website, build your personal brand or simply explain why you do what you do.
For years I’ve sat in the audience at Brighton Summit learning from other people.
This year I have the privilege of contributing to an event that has inspired me for so long.
I’d love to see you there.
