Happy New Year!
How are you doing?
Have you emerged from the Xmas holidays feeling a little groggy and disoriented?
Or are you thriving on the routine of the new year?
I’ve experienced both in the last week. I really switched off over Xmas, which was needed, however it takes a while for my brain to crank back into gear.
If you are still finding it tricky to get back into your groove, I’m sharing my word for the year. It gets me in the right mindset to be focused on what’s important.
I know this gets thrown around a lot, but having a word for the year really helps to steer the ship and continually course correct to what’s important.
My word for 2023 was Elevate which looked like:
⬆️Spending way more time in my stretch and risk zone. I re launched my speaker programmes and decided to launch a podcast which definitely had me stepping outside comfort!
⬆️Setting goals that scared me but are perfect for my development.
⬆️Facing the things I put off. So easy to do, but eating the frog really is the best way to go.
⬆️Spending time with friends, colleagues and people that lift me up, challenge me, make me think and give me energy. I joined a fantastic mastermind and found it perfect for this!
⬆️Developing consistent habits that contribute to my growth. This was a challenge but I was able to put some structures into my work day that massively helped.
⬆️Focusing even more on health, fitness and mindset. This was essential as the last quarter of the year my daughter was off school and I had to focus on these things to juggle it all.
⬆️Developing new skills and elevating existing ones in business, life and my hobbies. I was able to progress my djing skills and played in a studio!
My word for 2024 is Community which will look like:
⬆️Focus on nurturing my existing audience and client base, providing value and connection
⬆️Reaching new people with my podcast Words that Change Lives and encouraging honest conversations and dialogue around the topics discussed
⬆️Spending time with family and friends making memories and telling them I love them frequently
⬆️Spending time in new on and offline communities making solid connections and friendships, offering support and help
⬆️Continuing to grow my corporate audience and client base
⬆️Seeking wisdom and advice from mentors and inspirational people in similar industries and letting them know how they’ve helped me.
What’s your word for the year? I’d love to know.
And I’d also like to get to know you!
I want to thank you for being part of this community. I appreciate anyone who reads my articles and would love to find out more about you. Just contact me on hello@helenpackham.com and let’s say hey to each other.
