I’m just sitting down to write this before taking some time off for the summer holidays.

Running a business can have its challenges but I will always be grateful for making a choice to go for it alone 8 years ago.

And the main driver?

Freedom.

Spending time with my kids without worrying about how much leave I have or how flexible I can be has always been a driver for me, particularly, now that I’m a single parent.

A few months ago I mapped out the time I’d be working over the summer holidays and am looking forward to switching off for big chunks of time over the coming weeks. There will be loads of beach time (we found a sandy beach!), music festivals, meeting up with friends and going for a little trip to Dorset.

I don’t know about you but switching off doesn’t come naturally to me, but I reap the benefits when I do. I also often find in those down moments that ideas strike me and come bubbling to the surface!

Can you relate?

So you may not hear from me weekly over this period, but I will check in when the inspiration hits. I will be continuing to serve my one-to-one clients and am doing as many face-to-face meets as possible.

Then there is loads of awesome stuff planned for September!

What do you have planned? Hit reply and let me know.

Before I go…..I’m excited to be collaborating with Pub In The Park, an event that’s making its Brighton debut at Preston Park in Brighton from 16-18 September! 🎉

Tom Kerridge is running his very own food and music festival. Catch performances from The Human League, Gabrielle, Melanie C, Craig Charles, Soul II Soul & Basement Jaxx, whilst tucking into mouth-watering food, and come face-to-face with the UKs favourite chefs including Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer! 💃🕺

Across the weekend, enjoy a huge array of dishes from a selection of the greatest chefs and restaurants in the country, including The Hand & Flowers, Atul Kochhar Restaurants, Cue Point, Ox Block by Kenny Tutt, Jodie Kidd’s The Half Moon Inn, and The Kentish Hare. 👩‍🍳

Join us for the UK’s biggest celebration of food and music. Tickets are available now, head to the website to find out more and book yours! And I’ll see you there.
