I’m just dropping in to wish you a Happy New Year.

My kids went back to school today so I’m full steam ahead on completing two big projects in the first two weeks of 2022. It feels a bit barmy but once they are in the bag it will definitely feel like an achievement!

My TEDx event, which has been two years in the planning (and postponed 3 times!) is happening this Saturday at the MAC in Birmingham. I (along with the awesome team) have put my heart and soul into making this event happen and I can’t wait to see it all come together despite the challenges that have been thrown our way.

12 speakers with incredible ideas worth spreading will be taking the stage and I’m so proud of each and every one of them for the dedication and commitment they have put into their talks.

Working in a large team has also been a great reminder of the power of the collective and how each person plays a crucial part in making an event like this happen.

If you have bought a ticket I’d love to say hello, please do come and find me on the day.

If you want to follow the behind the scenes of what is happening you can do so through my Insta account @helenpackham and the TEDx Moseley insta account @tedxmoseley. I’ll also be going live on my personal profile on Facebook.

My second big project of going through divorce and moving house will also be complete next week! So I’ll be taking some time out to get myself and my kids settled before coming back all guns blazing to serve my private and corporate clients.

There were moments towards the end of last year when I felt completely overwhelmed with getting divorced, going through a house sale and purchase, getting hit hard by covid, looking after my kids, serving my clients and supporting the TEDx speakers.

If you have felt overwhelmed recently too I just want to share a few final thoughts before I go:

  • It’s ok to put everything down and come back to it later
  • Rest, sleep and food are top of the to do list – fill the cup first
  • You are more resilient than you give yourself credit for
  • Things will always have a way of coming through, no matter how muddled they seem at the time
  • Everything is happening just as it should
  • Trust that life is supporting you in the crazy moments

You’ve got this.

Much love

Helen
